Make 2015 your best year ever by implementing my top 11 tips into your lifestyle….

January is the time of new beginnings and very many of you will have new year resolutions. Create a clear picture of what you want to achieve and focus your mind solely on achieving that goal. Anything is possible when your thoughts, feelings and actions are aligned so reach for the stars and dream big this year!

1, START YOUR DAY WITH GRATITUDE

Every morning as soon as you wake up, give your thanks to everything you are grateful for. This will attract more positivity into your life.

2, USE INTENTION & POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS

First thing in the morning after declaring what you are grateful for in your life, set an intention for the day ahead. Speak as though you are already living the life of your dreams. Choose empowering words such as “I AM…” For instance, If you want to lose weight and are having confidence issues, a great intention would be, “I AM slim, healthy and confident.” You can use this intention as your positive affirmation throughout the day, repeating as many times as you need to. Any time a negative thought comes into your mind, replace it with your positive affirmation. Implement your affirmations regularly throughout the day and you will transform your life!

3, PRACTICE YOGA

Yoga is a fantastic way to start the day. It wakes up the body, mind and spirit and gives you an abundance of energy for the day ahead. Even if you only have 5-10 minutes a day, make this a routine and I can guarantee an increase in your health and well-being!

4, DAILY MEDITATION

Studies have shown that daily meditation increases health & well-being, reducing stress, anxiety and mental health problems and helps to calm and focus the mind. Try and make time to do your meditation practice straight after yoga. 5 – 15 minutes is a good place to start. If this is not possible, find sometime during the day to meditate and re-charge your mind, body and spirit.

5, HAVE A ROUTINE

To stay in balance and avoid ill-health and disease, it is important to have a routine. Get up at the same time every morning, eat your meals at the same time each day and go to bed before midnight. The body heals and repairs itself while you sleep so make sure you are getting around 7 hours.

6, DRINK AT LEAST 2 LITRES OF WATER A DAY

Our bodies are roughly 80% water so it is important to stay hydrated for our systems to function efficiently. Quite often we mistaken thirst for hunger. Be sure to have a glass of water and wait 20 minutes before eating anything, your hunger may subside if you was dehydrated and not really hungry.

7, EAT A RAINBOW

As human beings we derive our energy directly from sunlight and the foods we consume. Be sure to nourish your body well. You are what you eat quite literally. Fuel your body well and avoid processed and packaged foods. Aim to eat a wide selection of fruit and vegetables, pulses, legumes, beans, nuts, seeds and oils. Try to create a rainbow on your plate using different coloured foods. Use your imagination and have fun with preparing your foods.

8, PRACTICE LOVING KINDNESS

Karma yoga teaches us to act selflessly and to offer kind gestures to others. When we do things for others, without expecting anything in return, our vibrations increase and we heal on a subtle level becoming more integrated and whole. Every single day, be compassionate and do an act of Karma yoga. For instance, buy a stranger a coffee, help an old person across the street or simply hold the door open for someone. Notice how this makes you feel.

9, TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF

At least once a week for a hour or so, do something for yourself that you really enjoy. Go for a massage, read a book or simply just relax with some peaceful music on in the background. Going for a walk in nature is a fantastic way to re-connect with your Spirit and release any negative energies!

10, JOURNAL

End your day the same way you started it, with gratitude. Go over the events of the day and write down whatever inspires you or makes you feel happy and positive. It is great to express yourself in a journal where you will not be judged. Write down anything in your heart, this is your journal no-one else will see it. Express your authentic self and speak your truth. Keeping a journal is also great for memories so you can look back on how amazing life is and the true beauty and blessing to be here on earth.

11, CONNECTION TO YOUR DIVINE SOURCE

Every single day, connect to your Higher Spiritual Self and your Truth. Be authentic in all that you do and shine bright the Light that emanates from your Soul. 2015 is the year for you to claim your Power and express yourself with love and passion. Be the change you want to see in the world. As more people are waking up, the consciousness of Mother Earth is raising and change is happening all around us on a very subtle level. It is time for us to come together and ascend from the dualistic world of materialism and consumerism that keeps us disconnected from reaching Enlightenment. Break out of your boundaries and know that that anything is possible when you believe! Spread your wings and fly like a butterfly into 2015 with your high energy and beautiful Lightness. We are all One Consciousness, interconnected in this beautiful web of life. Soul to Soul we raise the vibrations and witness Heaven on Earth each and every day. The Spirit in me bows to the Spirit in you, Namaste!
